Ioba/Rise of colors: Provincial authorities announce the availability of the malaria vaccine.
Dano, Feb 8 2024 (AIB)- The provincial authorities of Ioba announced, during the raising of colors ceremony chaired by the High Commissioner, Bernadette Adenyo née Sermé, on Monday February 5 in Dano, the availability of the malaria vaccine in the health district.
The ceremony for the raising of the national colors for the month of February 2024 took place in Dano prefecture. The high commissioner of Ioba province, Bernadette Adenyo / Sermé, chaired this ceremony in the presence of the constituted bodies and the Defense and Security Forces (FDS).
On this occasion, the provincial authorities, through the prefect, president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Dano, Denis Zanré, announced the availability of the malaria vaccine.
According to the head doctor of the health district (MCD) of Dano, Dr Salam Mandé, the vaccine is available in all health facilities in the province.
The MCD added that the vaccine will be administered to children aged 5 months and below 5 years for the time being.
Parents of children in the indicated age group will need to take them to the usual vaccination sites to receive their vaccine.
The prefect of the Dano department also informed the participants of the opening of the 2024 sports year with two major activities. This is the official launch of sport for all by the first manager of the Ioba province, on Wednesday February 7, 2024 in Dano.
Mr. Zanré also invited directors and heads of services and the population to take part in the launch of the inter-service tournament (TIS) on Saturday February 10, 2024 on the grounds of the municipal Early Learning and Preschool Education Center (CEEP).
To close these remarks, the PDS of Dano, on behalf of the High Commissioner of Ioba, thanked all the members of the established bodies for their constant mobilization and their patriotic commitment.
The PDS urged the populations of Ioba province to vaccinate all target children against malaria. For him, this is an opportunity that must be seized because the Dano health district is one of the first 27 districts to receive the malaria vaccine.
