With the cost of domestic cooking gas increasing day by day, Indian Oil Company has developed a solar powered stove. Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri inspected the furnace’s performance last week.
In this event, the founder of Research and Development, Indian Oil Company, shared information about the newly launched Solar Stove. It says, “The newly introduced stove is named Surya Nutan”.
The price of this oven is fixed between Rs 18,000 and Rs 30,000. However, if the production increases, the price of the stove may also come down to Rs 12,000.
The price fluctuation of the stove can be determined by the response of the people to this stove. Once invested in this stove there will be no maintenance cost for the next ten years. Solar panels installed on stoves can last up to 25 years.
