The services did not report to Glavchev about problems with the organization of the vote
Alexander Yolovski returns to the Ministry of e-Government, but this time as a deputy to the current incumbent Vladimir Mundrov. His appointment was announced on Tuesday by acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev.
Yolovski was a minister there in the “Denkov” office. And he got involved in one of the first big scandals of the assembly – announcements of threats directed at him by his predecessor Bozhidar Bojanov and the co-chairman of the PP Kiril Petkov. Then he was assigned security from the National Security Service. The case was first told by Toshko Yordanov from “Ima talovny narod” at the end of October, according to whom Yolovski admitted to MPs that there was pressure to allocate BGN 640 million of the ministry’s money to certain companies for public procurement. Then the former head of the GERB-SDS group in the parliament, Desislava Atanasova, confirmed that she had heard of pressure on the minister.
Yolovski himself never shared his point of view publicly, nor did he refute the allegations of the deputies. It was not clear what these over 600 million BGN are, since the budget of the ministry is much smaller. For example, for 2024 it is 50 million. Otherwise, both Petkov and Bojanov denied it, and their crucifixions in KPCONPI did not lead to anything.
At the same time, the scandal with the voting machines developed, which is why in the first round of the local elections voting was only done on paper. Now before the vote on June 9, the issue is the new public procurement for the preparation of software for 2-in-1 elections.
The heads of services gathered Dimitar Glavchev today to discuss the organization and security of the vote, as well as the situation in the Middle East. The meeting was closed to the media, and from the press release it is only clear that the caretaker prime minister promised to act uncompromisingly on all signals of vote buying and to work for holding fair and free elections.
A day earlier, Glavchev also met with the CEC. Today, the commission accepted the documents for the registration of the first party for the vote – “Bulgarian National Unity”. In 2021, its leader Georgi Georgiev-Gotti registered with Vasil Bozhkov to participate in the elections.
Along with Yolovski, Glavchev has appointed eight more deputies in 6 ministries. Among them is the former social service minister from the offices of Galab Donev – Lazar Lazarov. Natalia Efremova will be Ivaylo Ivanov’s deputy in MTSP. Also appointed were Radostin Iliev, Ivan Peykov and Adelina Nikolova in defense, Stoyan Andonov in sports, Yura Yordanova-Vitanova in MRRB and Biserka Tsaneva in justice. 11 deputy ministers from the “Denkov” cabinet were dismissed.
