This law has similarities with the Texas Law which was suspended at the end of March. The State of Louisiana is also preparing a similar version in order to detain and deport migrants.

Iowa and Louisiana undertake laws similar to that of Texas

Tanto Texas, Louissiaa y Iowa are part of the states that claim the federal government of Joe Biden that has not taken up its federal responsibilities regarding migration.

They argue that this has put the security of the citizens of their states at risk, so they want to do what Joe Biden “is not willing to do.”
