Although the possibility of a 1% increase in the Payroll Tax (ISN) has generated various opinions among representatives of business chambers, they agree that it would serve to improve the infrastructure, but at the same time they ask that projects be taken more seriously.

The president of the Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Ramos Arizpe (AIERA), Sergio Alain Aguilar Guerra, pointed out that it is a good mechanism to improve the infrastructure, but there must be an effort from both parties, in addition to the fact that they must be guaranteed projects by the industry and to which a punctual follow-up is given.

He added that to date the ISN projects have not been taken seriously, since there are 2021 projects still lagging behind that were continued in 2022; Likewise, in that year another budget and projects were approved, although the projects for 2021 had not yet been completed.

“It is important to concentrate the projects that were authorized since 2021, which ones have finished, which ones are pending, which ones have to be finished in 2022 and in the same way right now in 2023 to finish the 2022 thing,” said Aguilar Guerra.

For his part, the president of Canaco Saltillo, Alejandro Pepi de la Peña, indicated that clarity is needed on the issue of the application of the resource because it has not been done as such, although it could be when the progress of the last together, among them the continuation of the Nazario Ortiz and its link with LEA at the exit to Torreón, among other works.

He added that the application has been minimal, for this reason he added that this must be seen first before an increase, there are many works that the city demands, especially in polygons where there is a lot of infrastructure deficiency, such as water, drainage and electrification, as well as areas of renovation.

For his part, the vice president of Canirac Saltillo, Juan Pablo Valdés, commented that they are in the process of reviewing this matter, although they believe that there must be another mechanism before raising that 1%, in addition to seeing how that money is going to be invested because there are many priority areas in the region, such as increased connectivity.

He commented that there is the entrance of Highway 57 to Arteaga, the Monterrey-Saltillo highway that has been stopped due to accidents, among others, and they are willing to do so, but that 1% has to be seen, in addition to the fact that they want to see results.
