According to the report, the company also wants to bring the devices, called AirPods 4, onto the market in two versions: as an entry-level model and a slightly better equipped and more expensive version of the earphones.

This year, Apple also wants to equip its devices with more new functions based on artificial intelligence than before. However, some of these will not be available in the EU at first. The company points to legal uncertainties caused by the digital law DMA, which sets out rules for large platforms.
