Mumbai Delhi Capitals will take on Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League today. The Delhi-Punjab clash comes amid Kovid concerns. Following Kovid, the match in Pune was shifted to Mumbai. The match will be played today, April 20, at 7.30 pm.
Kovid had been scrutinizing the Delhi players even on the day of the match. The competition may be postponed if there is a situation where positive cases are reported. Kovid has confirmed five people in the last few days, including Delhi Capitals star Mitchell Marsh.

With this, the competition became uncertain. Kovid was first confirmed by team physio Patrick Farhart. On April 16, a sports massage therapist was diagnosed with the disease. On April 18, Kovid also confirmed to Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh, team doctor Abhijit Salvi and social media content team member Akash Mane. The Kovid victims have been relocated separately. Only if they get a negative result will they be able to get back into the team’s bio-bubble.
The Delhi team has been conducting RT-PCR tests every day since April 15. It is reassuring that the results of yesterday’s tests were negative. The result of the RT-PCR test conducted on the day of the match against Punjab Kings is very crucial.

Mitchell Marshin Kovid was discovered during a rapid antigen test on Monday morning, April 18th. He then showed mild fever and symptoms but was initially negative on RT-PCR testing. Later in the evening, the team officially announced that the results of all three, including Mitchell Marshall, were positive.
