Nitish Rana hits Sunrisers fast bowler Umran Malik for a six on the third man

Mumbai: Yesterday was a good day for Nitish Rana in IPL 2022. Rana Thakar smashed a half-century for Kolkata (Knight Riders) against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Although Sunrisers won the match by seven wickets, Rana’s batting performance was something to be proud of. Two sixes were born from Rana’s bat and one of them shattered the glass of the fridge in the dugout.

Screens of broken fridge glass were often shown on the big screen. The stars and commentators were surprised to see that the fridge had collapsed.
After losing the toss and opting to bat, Kolkata were bowled out for 175 for eight in the allotted overs by Nitish Rana and Andre Russell. Rana scored 54 off 36 balls and Russell 49 * off 25 balls. T Natarajan took three wickets and Umran Malik two.
In reply, Sunrisers reached the target of 176 for three in 17.5 overs. Rahul Tripathi scored 71 off 37 balls and Aidan Markram 68 * off 36 balls. Nicholas Puran (5 * off 8 balls) remained unbeaten with Markram. Andre Russell took two wickets. Earlier, Russell had excelled in batting as well. With the win, Sunrisers are seventh in the points table. Kolkata lost but are fourth.
