IPL 2022: Virat kohli failed as RCB opener after goes out for another low score

Kohli had won the Golden Deck in the previous two matches. With this, RCB decided to give back the role of opener which was vacated after last season. Rawat, who had high hopes for this, had to be dropped by the RCB against the Rajasthan Royals. Prasidh Krishna took the wicket of Kohli. He came out of this game in a very unfortunate way.

It was a ball that Kohli could have left before the shot was fired. But he turned around with all his might and was about to pull the trigger. But this attempt failed. After hitting the bottom of the bat, Ryan Parag dives forward at the high ball backwards point and catches. Unbelievably, with a smirk, Kohli paused for a moment and then lowered his head back.

The 33-year-old Kohli is set to become one of the worst IPL players of his career this season. He has not scored a single fifty in the nine innings he has played so far. 41 * (Punjab Kings), 12 (Kolkata Knight Riders), 5 (Rajasthan Royals), 48 (Mumbai Indians), 1 (Chennai Super Kings), 12 (Delhi Capitals), 0 (Lucknow Super Giants), 0 (Sunrisers Hyderabad) , 9 (Rajasthan Royals) Kohli’s scores in innings so far.

Royals won by 29 runs

Rajasthan Royals beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 29 runs in a low scoring match. The Royals lost the toss and opted to bat, scoring 144 for eight. Ryan Parag (56 *) singled to give the Royals a not-so-bad score. Captain Sanju Samson was out for 27 runs.

The Royals hit back even more deadly in the run chase. With this, the RCB batting line-up collapsed. RCB were all out for 115 with three balls to spare. With the exception of skipper Fuff Duplessis (23), no other 20s were completed. Kuldeep Sen took four wickets while R Ashwin took three wickets. Prasidh Krishna took two wickets.
