Mumbai: Former India opener Wasim Jaffer has resigned as the coach of Punjab Kings. Jaffer’s resignation comes just before the start of the 2022 IPL. Wasim has been collaborating with the franchise since 2019. The then Kings XI joined Punjab and worked with the support staff until the 2021 season.

Before the auction, Punjab retained Mayank Agarwal and Arshdeep Singh for Rs 12 crore and Rs 4 crore respectively. The IPL mega auction will be held on February 12 and 13.

The mega auction in Bangalore will start at 11 am. Of the 1214 players who registered for the auction, 590 were shortlisted. The high base price of Rs 2 crore has 48 players.
