Mumbai: The megastar auction for the IPL 15 (IPL 2022) season will be held in Bangalore on February 7 and 8, according to reports. It is said that this will be the last mega star auction. The BCCI is planning to hold the IPL entirely in India this time.

But the BCCI cut is an omicron expansion. It will be difficult to host the tournament in India if the expansion intensifies. The BCCI has found an alternative. The BCCI plans to shift the venue to the UAE if there is a spread during the tournament. It is learned that the BCCI has spoken to the franchisees in this regard. The entire 2020 season was held in the UAE and the second quarter of the 2021 season was held in the UAE.

The tournament had to be moved to the UAE last season due to the intensification of Kovid expansion. This change would have disrupted the plans of many franchisees. Many superstars were left out of the tournament. This adversely affected the teams. The BCCI has already told the franchisees to avoid this. Moreover, there were allegations that the biobible system in India was poor. Australian players Adam Sapam, Kane Richardson and Andrew Tie were all left out of the second quarter. Therefore, this time the BCCI will provide antiquated security.

Earlier, it was reported that the mega star auction would be held in the UAE, but now the BCCI has decided to hold it in India. At the same time, there are reports that the BCCI is considering abandoning the mega star auction itself as the current teams are opposed to holding a mega star auction every three years. Current teams complain that every mega star auction upsets the team’s balance. Earlier, Delhi team owner Parth Jindal had said that it would be difficult to release key players after building a team with hard work.
