Mumbai: Veteran Lasith Malinga, famous for throwing the most accurate yorkers in the cricket world, is taking over the responsibility of coaching the next generation of bowlers in Mumbai Indians. Malinga conducted a bowl-out session in the franchise’s nets with some of the young players, including Arjun Tendulkar, in which the players had to hit the singling stumps at the other end of the pitch. Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun was among the MI pacers who tried their hand at the training drill. In the video shared by Mumbai Indians, no bowler managed to hit the stump. In the end, Malinga himself took the responsibility and uprooted the stump.
Malinga played only for Mumbai Indians in his entire IPL career. He took 170 wickets in 122 matches at an average of 19.80 and an economy rate of 7.14. Seeing this video, now everyone is feeling that if Malinga is made to bowl wearing Mumbai jersey in the current IPL season, then he will not shy away from doing wonders. However, the good thing for Mumbai is that other bowlers including Arjun Tendulkar are also not bowling too far from the stumps.
Well, five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) registered their first win of the campaign by defeating Delhi Capitals on Sunday. MI also created history at the Wankhede Stadium and registered its 150th win in T20 cricket, the most by any cricket team. The Blue and Gold franchise achieved the feat against Delhi Capitals (DC) in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match in Mumbai.

Mumbai has played 273 matches including the matches played in IPL and the now defunct Champions League T20, which includes 150 wins, 117 losses. Two matches ended without any result.
