He believes that his team should have defended the score. Chasing Royals’ target of 197 runs, the Titans team scored 20 runs with the partnership of 36 runs in 14 balls for the seventh wicket between Rashid Khan (24 not out in 11 balls) and Rahul Tewatia (21 runs in 11 balls, three fours). Won by scoring 199 runs for seven wickets in the over. Captain Shubhman Gill (72) and Sai Sudarshan (35) gave a good start to the team by adding 64 runs for the first wicket.
Riyan Parag (76 runs in 48 balls, five sixes, three fours) and Samson (68 not out in 38 balls, two sixes, seven fours), apart from scoring a half-century earlier, made a partnership of 130 runs in 78 balls for the third wicket. Due to which Royals scored 196 runs for three wickets. The team was successful in adding 108 runs in the last eight overs.
