The retention rules of the Indian Premier League have made Deepak Sahar and Ishant Kishan more valuable players in terms of money than Dhoni and Jaspreet Bhumra. Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians have retained Dhoni and Bumrah for Rs 12 crore each. CSK bought Sahar for Rs 14 crore while Mumbai Kishan was allotted Rs 15.25 crore. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore have signed Herschelle Patel for Rs. Purchased for Rs 10.75 crore. But Mohammad Siraj was given Rs. Retained for Rs 7 crore.

How come Sahar is more expensive than Dhoni?
In 2018, Sahara was acquired by CSK for Rs 80 lakh. Sahar has seen a nearly 18-fold pay rise in four years. The Powerplay comes from Sahar as the best bowler. He is doing a great job that many Indian fast bowlers do not do in modern cricket. Adds extra strength to his batting team. CSK expects an all-rounder more than a batsman or bowler. In that respect, Sahar gets paid more than Dhoni.
Ishan Kishan paid more than Bumra?
