IPL Auction Live Updates | Kerala’s wicketkeeper – batsman Vishnu Vinod is another Malayalee presence in IPL 2022. In the first instance, Sunrisers Hyderabad acquired the player for Rs 50 lakh. With this, Vishnu is the fourth Kerala player to be a part of IPL 2022 through auction.

Vishnu was part of the Delhi Capitals last season. Delhi bought it in the 2021 auction for a base price. Prior to that, Vishnu played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in three IPL matches.

Apart from Vishnu, other teams currently have Malayalee players Basil Thampi, KM Asif and Kerala Cricket Association guest star Robin Uthappa.

Two IPL players have been acquired by two IPL franchises for a base price. Chennai Super Kings have acquired KM Asif for Rs 20 lakh and Robin Uthappa for Rs 2 crore. Mumbai Indians won another Malayalee pacer Basil Thampi. The five-time IPL champions are spending Rs 30 lakh on Basil.

Meanwhile, the case of former Indian pacer Sreesanth remains unclear. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. The star who was on the final list of the star auction is not included in the accelerated auction list. Currently, players who were not picked in the first round are being reconsidered.
