(24News) Member National Assembly Ali Muhammad Khan stated that the country has been devastated by Independent Power Plants (IPPs), with many of their owners being close associates within the current government.
Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Ali Muhammad Khan expressed concern over inflation, highlighting the plight of ordinary Pakistanis whose salaries are barely enough to cover basic expenses. He questioned the ability of the government, which has been in power for 21 months, to address the soaring inflation and economic hardship faced by the people.
Khan further alleged that the current rulers are responsible for the country’s current state, pointing to the rampant inflation and economic woes. He accused the government of exploiting the nation through IPPs, with their owners being closely connected to the government. He questioned the legitimacy of the recent election outcome in favor of the PTI, demanding accountability from the authorities.
The PTI leader also criticized the government’s 40-year rule, questioning the effectiveness of their policies in addressing inflation, unemployment, and healthcare. He challenged the government to provide concrete evidence of their achievements during their tenure.
Khan concluded his statement by emphasizing the need for dialogue and reconciliation, urging the government to take action to address the people’s grievances and hold accountable those responsible for any wrongdoing.
