Moscow: Iran, Argentina and other countries have applied to join the BRICS bloc, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Russia’s foreign affairs spokeswoman Maria Sakarova said the two countries had submitted their applications.
Argentine President Alberto Fernandes has said he wants to join the BRICS. Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman said the move to BRICS would benefit both sides.
