Iran begins closing its eastern borders with smart devices

Iran has started implementing a project aimed at closing the border crossings in the north-east of the country, using smart devices.

“IRNA” news agency quoted the commander of the Iranian army’s ground forces, Brigadier General Kiomars Heidari, as saying, “The implementation of the project to close the border walls in the northeast of the country, using smart devices, has begun at the hands of the engineering units of this armed force.”

On the sidelines of his inspection visit to the joint border strip between Iran and Afghanistan, Haidari added, “The various stages of this project are being implemented using modern national devices and technologies.”

He pointed out that “the process of closing the border crossings on the common border between Khorasan Razavi Province (eastern Iran) and Afghanistan has made good progress, and they are looking forward to completing this project within the specified time frame.”

Haidari added: “This strategic project contributes significantly to securing the Iranian borders; indicating that a large part of this project, including many of its sections, has been completed so far; praising the efforts of the engineering teams working on it.”
