Iran burns, school children take over anti-hijab protest

Tehran: Anti-hijab protests are getting stronger in Iran. It is reported that school children have taken up the protest. A video of a group of children hurling stones and bottles at the officer who came to persuade the children to take off their hijab at a school in Karaj has surfaced on social media. The female students send the officer back with shouts of shame on you.

In the eastern city of Shiraz, scores of schoolgirls blocked traffic and took to the streets in an anti-hijab protest on Monday. The protest was by taking off the hijab and waving it in the air. There are reports of female students taking part in protests in the northwestern cities of Saqqez and Sanandaj, as well as in the capital, Tehran. According to reports, children who called Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khamenei a dictator took off their hijab and protested in front of his picture.
