The Iranian embassy in Damascus denied, on Friday, the information that was circulated about “the injury or capture of any Iranian advisor as a result of the bombing carried out by Israel in the Syrian city of Masyaf a few days ago.”

The Iranian embassy wrote in a post on the social media platform “X”, “After 11 months of failure and defeat, the Zionist occupation has reached a level of bankruptcy that sees no other way to save itself except by killing children and spreading lies.”

The embassy added: “While we condemn the criminal attack carried out by the Zionist occupation in the Syrian city of Masyaf, we confirm that none of the Iranian advisors were harmed, and we declare that the allegations of the Israeli entity in this regard are false.”

The Iranian embassy in Syria pointed out that “the unknown media outlets, the mouthpieces of the occupation, are the only ones that spread such lies.”

In turn, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced, “There are no Iranian forces in the alleged site of ‘Masyaf’ in Syria,” stressing that “this area is a site for the Syrian army.”

The Revolutionary Guards stressed in a statement that “the subsequent claim that Iranian forces were targeted or their members were captured is completely false.”

Earlier on Thursday, a Syrian security source denied “the accuracy of the news circulating about an Israeli landing operation in the Syrian city of Masyaf.”

The source confirmed in a special statement to the Yunus News Agency that “there is no truth to the news circulating about an Israeli airdrop in Masyaf a few days ago.”

Some websites reported that “a number of Iranian elements were captured by the Israeli occupation forces at the Masyaf base in Syria.”

A few days ago, 16 people were killed and dozens were injured as a result of Israeli shelling of several sites around the city of Masyaf in the Hama countryside, in Syria.
