Tehran,

In the context of the continuing conflict between Iran and the United States over the nuclear deal, Iran is showing keen interest in space programs.

In that sense, in 2020, Iran launched the first satellite, Noor, and launched its own space program to the world. But since then, all of Iran’s attempts to launch a satellite have failed.

Even a few days ago, an attempt to launch a satellite rocket from the Imam Khamenei space station in Iran’s Semman province failed.

It has been reported that Iran successfully launched its 2nd satellite yesterday after repeated failures in this regard. Iranian state media have reported that the ‘Noor 2’ satellite was launched by a rocket from the Sharut Desert in northeastern Iran and successfully launched into orbit.
