Iran has three options
The killing of Nasrallah and a senior IRGC commander in Lebanon leaves Iran with three simple options. These are: Maintain the Axis of Resistance (AOR) campaign against Israel at the current level. Stop the campaign against Israel or increase it.
Looking at the stance of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, it seems that the pressure on Israel will remain at the current level. The reason for this is also that after Nasrallah’s death, Ayatollah Khamenei and IRI will be under pressure to take retaliatory action on a large scale. Although in a good position to do so.
Israel is now in a better situation
Israel is in a better situation at this time. It can long continue its campaign against the axis of resistance with the full support of the US and the Western military-industrial complexes. The superior quality of Israel’s weapons and intelligence means it can more consistently reach its strategic objectives than the AOR.
Israel is much more aggressive than AOR and has increased dominance due to its nuclear capabilities. This means that the Israeli leadership will have the option of a major attack. However, this would be disastrous not only for Iran but for the world.
