A ceasefire in Gaza that could be negotiated on August 15 would deter Iran from launching a massive attack on Israel.

As reported by Day.Az, Reuters reports this with reference to sources.

“Only a ceasefire agreement in Gaza will keep Iran from retaliating against Israel for the massacre of the head of the political bureau of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh. In connection with the increased risk of a large-scale war in the Middle East, Tehran has been actively negotiating with the United States and other Western countries in recent days,” the agency quotes three Iranian officials who wished to remain anonymous as saying.

One of the sources added that Tehran, together with its allies in the “axis of resistance”, would launch an attack if the Gaza talks “fail or they perceive that Tel Aviv is deliberately delaying the negotiations”.

It should be noted that the United States has appealed to all its allies, including Turkey, to persuade Iran to ease tensions in the Middle East.
