Iran responded harshly to France

Iran sent a note to French Ambassador to Tehran Nicolas Roche to protest France’s ambivalent policy on terrorism.

As Day.Az reports, this was stated today at a press conference in Tehran by the press secretary of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmail Baghai.

According to him, the French ambassador was invited to the Iranian Foreign Ministry the day before.

“The French Ambassador was warned that France is providing refuge to terrorist groups. According to UN legal obligations, the deployment of terrorists in the country is unacceptable. The division of terrorism into “good” and “bad” contributes to the spread of lawlessness in the world,” he noted.

Baghai also noted that Iran expressed its reaction to the anti-Iranian position of French President Emmanuel Macron.

“Iran hopes that France will emerge from this precarious situation and show a more constructive position regarding regional processes,” he added.

A spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry also said that the French President’s allegations regarding the Iranian nuclear program are unfounded.

E. Baghai added that these claims have been made for 20 years without legal basis, and that Iran has no colonial past in Africa.
