In a fiery address, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Jameneí warned the United States on Wednesday that any military intervention against Iran would result in “irreparable damage.” He underscored the nation’s resolve,asserting that the Iranian people would not surrender. The supreme leader’s strong words come amidst heightened tensions following the recent conflict with Israel.
“Americans must know that the Iranian nation will not give up and that any military intervention will, without a doubt, irreparable damage,” Jameneí said in a televised speech, as reported by official media.
“This nation will not give up anyone, before the imposition” of a war, added the Supreme leader of Iran.
Jameneí,in an apparent reference to statements by U.S. President Donald trump, said that “the bright people who know Iran’s story will never speak to this nation in a threatening language as the Iranian nation cannot be delivered.”
Trump had requested Iran’s “unconditional surrender” on Tuesday.
