/ The Iranian army unveiled, on Saturday, the upgraded version of the air-to-ground “Shafaq” missile.

Iran had unveiled the Shafaq missile months ago, which is a small missile weighing 48 kg, 190 cm long and with a range of 20 km.

The Iranian Tasnim News Agency reported that the Iranian Army’s Ground Forces today unveiled the indigenous “Shafaq” anti-tank air missile systems and the “Yousef” air camera, which were designed and produced by the self-sufficiency specialists of the Ground Forces.

The Shafaq system, whose operational range has been increased and targeting of enemy targets has been improved to 20 kilometers, and the possibility of high accuracy and precision, has the ability to be used in various tactical and operational strategies for future wars.

Other features of this missile system include the ability to Fire & Forget, an advanced warhead, and an infrared seeker, which allows this system to be used in all weather conditions and during all hours of the day and night, and to be installed on all types of army aviation helicopters for use in destroying enemy facilities and fortifications in all operations.

The latest camera for the night flying system, named “Yousef”, has the ability to operate at night and in bad weather conditions. One of the most prominent features of this camera is improving the strength and continuity of helicopters throughout the day and night.
