“The US has blocked the use of weapons such as Britain’s Storm Shadow missiles on Russian soil, fearing an escalation of the conflict. Pressure has mounted in recent weeks for the US and Britain to change their policies on long-range weapons, with calls on Wednesday joined by former [ASV] army commanders in Europe and former US ambassadors,” the publication says.
