/ Reuters reported on Thursday that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps has reduced the deployment of its officers in Syria to avoid what it described as “intensified conflict.”

Reuters quoted informed sources as saying that “the Iranian Revolutionary Guard reduced the deployment of its senior officers in Syria due to the Israeli strikes,” explaining that “Iran’s decision to withdraw its senior officers is partly due to its avoidance of being drawn directly into a raging conflict in the region.”

She pointed out that “senior Iranian leaders left Syria with dozens of mid-ranking officers.”

This decision comes after Israeli attacks on the Revolutionary Guard headquarters in Syria, which led to the killing of dozens of Iranian military advisors, most notably Razi Mousavi and Sayyed Sadeq, two senior commanders in the Revolutionary Guard.
