Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei spoke out following the announcement that Hassan Nasrallah, head of the Lebanese armed faction Hezbollah, had died.

According to a CNN report on the 28th (local time), Khamenei sent a message of support, saying, “All resistance forces in the region are with Hezbollah.” He warned, “Israel is too small to cause significant damage to Hezbollah’s powerful structure.”

He said, “The fate of this region will be decided by the resistance, and at the top will be the victorious Hezbollah.”

Khamenei also called for Muslims to unite against Israel. “Every Muslim should proudly stand with Lebanon and Hezbollah and support them in the fight against this cruel and evil regime,” he said.

Hezbollah has not yet commented on Nasrallah’s death, and Khamenei did not mention him directly in his statement.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah immediately launched a counterattack after receiving the airstrike, firing rockets at the Israeli city of Safed.
