/ The Iraqi Football Association confirmed on Monday that tickets for the Iraq-Jordan match were sold out and that it had purchased a large number of tickets for the fans outside the stadium to enter.

Football Association member Firas Bahr Al-Ulum told Agency, “The association bought 2,000 additional tickets than those they previously distributed to the public to give to the Iraqi fans flocking to the stadium.”

He explained that “brokers booked tickets in large quantities to sell them on the black market, which led to a disruption in distribution and sufficiency for our audience.”

He said that “the Federation has currently begun distributing tickets to the Iraqi public who are waiting to enter the stadium to support the Iraqi national team.”

The Iraqi and Jordanian national teams will meet today in the round of 16 match at 2:30 pm.
