/ The Iraqi national football team concluded its training on Friday morning, before facing the South Korean national team tomorrow evening, Saturday, at five o’clock Abu Dhabi time (17:00) and four o’clock Baghdad time (16:00), in a match hosted by New York University Stadium in Saadiyat.
All 26 players participated in today’s training, which took place at the training centers of Khalifa Sports City.
The technical staff stressed in the training session the implementation of some technical aspects that are supposed to be applied in the match against the Korean Samson, and the coach of the Iraqi national team, Jesus Casas, decided to give all players a rest the day after tomorrow, Sunday, before the Lions of Mesopotamia resume their training again starting from Monday until the date of their departure to Doha on the 11th of this month to participate in the 2023 Asian Cup.
It is noteworthy that the Iraqi national team is playing in Group D alongside the national teams of Indonesia, Japan and Vietnam, and the matches will be held on the 15th, 19th and 24th of this month, respectively.
