The World Bank confirmed today, Wednesday, that the Iraqi government has taken steps to develop human capital, while noting that investing in human capital is an essential pillar for achieving sustainable development.

World Bank Group representative Bilal Zaghir told the (INA): “The first conference for human capital development in Iraq is about supporting Iraqi civilization and its future,” pointing out that “investing in Iraqi human capital is an essential pillar for achieving sustainable development for all groups.”

He added, “The timing and focus shown by the Iraqi government in this area will lead to the development of human capital, and it will proceed at an increasing pace in the coming days.”

Yesterday, Tuesday, the work of the first conference for human capital development in Iraq began in the presence of the Ministers of Planning, Health and Labor and a number of members of the House of Representatives.
