/ The Iraqi handball team lost the last chance to qualify for the World Cup, on Sunday, after losing the decisive match against Kuwait with a score of 32-20 goals.
The Iraqi national team faced its Kuwaiti counterpart at three o’clock this afternoon in its last match in the main round of the 21st Asian Handball Championship held in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Iraqi team had to win today and nothing else, and then wait for the winner of the match between Bahrain and South Korea. A win for Bahrain would also qualify Iraq, as a draw or loss for Bahrain would throw the Iraqi team out of the qualification circle.
