/ The Iraqi National Paralympic Committee maintained the West Asia Championship title for the fourth time in a row today, Saturday, with a total of 69 colored medals, including 36 gold medals, 25 silver medals, and 8 bronze medals.

This came after the Iraqi table tennis team raised its tally with a gold medal in the mixed doubles event, which was won by Ali Abdul Amir and Hadeel Ali after defeating the Jordanian team players in the semi-final and then the Saudi team in the final match. Then the blind goalball team snatched the title of the competition after defeating the Jordanian team in the final match with a score of 10-7.

For his part, the head of the Iraqi delegation, member of the Executive Office of the Paralympic Committee and head of the Fencing Federation, Ali Hamid, said, “Our delegation maintained the title for the fourth time in a row, and this is our goal that we have been striving for.”
