/ The Iraqi national team tied with its Korean counterpart with a score of 22-22 goals in the 21st Asian Handball Championship currently underway in Bahrain 2024.

Federation President Ahmed Riyad told that the Iraqi national team was able to draw amid a distinguished performance by our players after they presented an honorable level that reflected the development of the game in Iraq.

He stated that the result was close until the last moment, and the conflict was strong between our team and the developed Korean team, and the rivalry and confrontation between our players was strong, culminating in a draw for the two teams, even though our team advanced many times over its Korean counterpart and almost failed to win had it not been for the goals that were scored by strong Korean players.
