The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party parliamentary bloc, Vian Sabri, confirmed today, Wednesday, that the Iraqi Media Network is a large, distinguished, and solid institution that transmits news with transparency, integrity, and justice to all components of the Iraqi people and their representatives in the Council of Representatives.

MP Vian Sabri told the (INA) – during her visit to the Iraqi Media Network and her meeting with the network’s head, Karim Hammadi: “The Iraqi Media Network is a distinguished institution that enjoys great popularity throughout Iraq; as it transmits news with transparency, integrity and justice with the components of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, and also broadcasts solid and purposeful content through its institutions.”
She added, “Our visit today falls within the necessary communication between the House of Representatives and the media network, and this will be strengthened by many stances and visits.”
She added, “This visit will lead to meetings through the representatives of the Kurdistan Democratic Party,” noting that “there are many important laws that we must mature in support of the Iraqi media, and they are also a joint responsibility with the media network, and there is constructive cooperation between the parliament and the network in this field.”
She continued, speaking about the last postponed session of the House of Representatives, that “according to the political agreement, there was supposed to be a reading of the draft law to cancel the decisions of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council, and yesterday there was supposed to be a vote on returning the properties that were stolen from their owners during the time of the former regime, but the vote did not take place and the session was postponed until further notice,” explaining that “this issue concerns us because it is not only for the Kurds, but for everyone whose rights were taken away during that period and whose properties were taken and confiscated and given to others by the former regime.”
She stressed that “restoring rights is very important, and this is the stage of the new Iraq, and rights must be returned to their rightful owners,” expressing her “hope that the Iraqi Media Network will shed light on many other joints and laws, including the Personal Status Law and other laws.”
