/ A source in the Iraqi Football Association confirmed on Wednesday evening that a meeting had been held “a short while ago” between the national team coach, Jesus Casas, and the player, Muntadher Majid, to listen to his point of view, noting that Casas had understood the player’s position.

The source told Agency that Muntadhar decided to stay with the national team and complete his journey with the Iraqi team in the Asian Championship taking place in Qatar.

He explained that the Federation and the technical staff’s view of Muntadhar is that he is an Iraqi player whose services cannot be dispensed with, just like the other players on the national team. A misunderstanding or misunderstanding may occur, and perhaps the psychological aspect of any player may intervene and be resolved through ideal dialogue.

Earlier this afternoon, player Muntadher Majed decided to leave the national team delegation and return to his residence in Europe after coach Casas refused his family’s request to include their son as a starter in the Iraqi national team’s match against its Japanese counterpart scheduled for Friday.
