Iraqi Oil Minister confirms stability of export rate and gas investment

/ The Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil confirmed on Tuesday that his ministry aims to sustain the production and export of crude oil, invest in gas, and maximize the strategic stock of oil products.

Hayyan Abdul Ghani said, during his visit to the technical department at the ministry’s center, according to a statement received by Shafak News Agency, that the ministry is working according to a vision and strategy aimed at sustaining and increasing national production of crude oil and petroleum products and investing in gas, to meet local consumption, in addition to maximizing and enhancing the strategic stock of petroleum products, and stabilizing oil export rates to global markets.

He pointed out the importance of integrated coordination of the sectors, production, refining, gas, distribution, and the work of the concerned authorities to improve performance to achieve the goals and plans of the Ministry, stressing the Ministry’s keenness to support the public and private sectors by meeting the needs of the industrial and agricultural sectors and equipping them with types of fuel to sustain the production process.
