Iraqi women’s football team camp in Paris ahead of West Asian Championship

/ The Iraqi women’s national football team left the open fields today, Saturday, heading to the French capital, Paris, to stay in a training camp there for a week in preparation for the West Asian Championship scheduled to start early next February.

Hussein Al-Saray, a member of the Expatriates Committee of the Iraqi Football Association, told , “The military will include two friendly matches with two French clubs,” indicating that he “has prepared all matters of accommodation in France, securing stadiums, and agreeing with the teams that will face our national team due to its residence there.”

He explained that “after completing the camp, the Iraqi delegation will head directly to Saudi Arabia to enter a short training camp there before entering the West Asian Championship competitions that Saudi Arabia will host next February.”

The Iraqi Football Association appointed Saleh Radhi as coach of the women’s national outdoor football team in order to prepare the team for upcoming competitions.
