/ The draw for the 10th West Asian Federation Junior Championship resulted in the junior team falling alongside the Sultanate of Oman (host) team in the first group, in addition to Yemen and Lebanon.
The teams of the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Jordan (the defending champion) came in the second group, according to the draw for the tournament, which will be held during the period from 11 to 20 December 2023.
The tournament matches will be held at Al Saada Complex Stadium in Salalah in the Sultanate of Oman, which is hosting a West Asian Federation tournament for the first time.
The tournament is held for the age group born in 2008. The group stage is held in one stage, and the first and second in each group qualify for the semi-finals, and then the two winners from this round move to the final match.
According to the match schedule, the first day, December 11, 2023, will witness the holding of two confrontations, the first between Iraq and Yemen at five in the evening, Amman time, and the second brings together the Omani national team against its Lebanese counterpart at eight in the evening.
On the 12th, there are two matches at the same times, between Saudi Arabia and Syria, and between the Emirates and Jordan, and this is immediately followed on November 13 by the confrontations of Lebanon with Iraq and Yemen with Oman.
On the 14th, Jordan will play against Saudi Arabia and Syria against the Emirates, while the 15th will witness matches between Yemen and Lebanon, and Oman and Iraq, and then the group stage will conclude on the 16th with Syria, Jordan and the Emirates meeting with Saudi Arabia.
It will be the 17th of December for rest, and on the following 18th the semi-final matches will be held between the first of the first group and the second of the second group, and between the first of the second group and the second of the first group, and finally the two winners will move to the final match scheduled for December 20, 2023.
