Iraqi Youth Cycling Team Wins Arab Championship

/ The Iraqi youth cycling team won first place, on Sunday, in the Arab Championship held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

The tournament opened today with the participation of ten Arab teams representing Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Qatar, the Emirates, Bahrain, Oman and Libya.

The first day’s races witnessed the superiority of the Iraqi youth team, which was able to win the gold medal as a team, outperforming its Moroccan counterpart, the African champion, which came in second, then the Algerian team in third place.

The Iraqi teams for women, seniors, juniors and youth will also participate in the upcoming days of the championship, as Iraq participates in races for all categories in the Arab Cycling Championship.
