Iraq’s handball draws with Japan in Asian Championship

/ The Iraqi national team tied with its Japanese counterpart, today, Saturday, with a score of 28-28 goals, in the Asian Handball Championship.

The Iraqi handball team achieved a great victory in its first match in the tournament against its Indian counterpart with a crushing score of 55-12 goals at the start of its journey in the Asian Championship currently taking place in Bahrain.

On the 6th of last month, the Iraqi national handball team held a training camp in Bahrain that continued until the 10th of this month in preparation for the 21st Asian Championship qualifying for the 2025 World Cup.

Before heading to Bahrain, the Iraqi handball team participated in the Qatar International Championship in preparation for the Asian Championship. It lost its two matches against Qatar and Algeria, and won a third match against the Qatari Al Rayyan Club.
