JAKARTA – Capital Iriana Jokowi including those who get badge of honor at the State Palace on Monday (14/8/2023) today. The wife of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was awarded the Bintang Republik Indonesia Adipradana.
Iriana admitted that she was not notified by Jokowi regarding the awarding of the honorary degree. He also expressed his gratitude for being awarded the badge of honor.
“Thank you for giving. Previously I also did not understand because Pak Jokowi didn’t tell me,” said Iriana when met after the award at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday (14/8/2023).
“We got an invitation, that’s what I asked. How come this got an invitation,” said Iriana.
Even so, Iriana was not surprised by the invitation to give the title of honor. In fact, he later joked that Jokowi had never given him any surprises.
“No, I’ve never been surprised,” said Iriana.
“Pak Jokowi never gives a surprise,” he said with a smile.
On the same occasion, Jokowi explained, the awarding of honors was a consideration of the Council for Titles and Honors. “Yes, all of them were submitted and based on the consideration of the Council for Titles and Honors,” he said.
The badge of honor at the State Palace on this day was given to 18 people. The awarding of honors is in accordance with Presidential Decree Numbers 66, 67, 68 and 69 Kindergarten of 2023 concerning the Awarding of Adipradana, Mahaputera, Bintang Jasa, and Bintang Budaya Parama Dharma.
