The state-owned NMTC produced 32 lakh tonnes of iron ore last May. This is an increase of 14 per cent over the 28 lakh tonnes produced by the company in 2021.
Sumit Deb, Chairman and Managing Director, NMTC, said:
NMDC’s growth in iron ore production companies has been steady. It has also become one of the most consistent suppliers of raw materials to the domestic steel industry. “We have strengthened the business by welcoming and implementing new technology and digital applications in the company,” he said.
NMTC, a Hyderabad-based company, operates under the Central Steel Department. The company has a presence in the production and sale of iron ore.
