Tirupur: There are many shops in Madhyabus stand complex, Tirupur. Iron seats are installed there for passengers waiting for buses.
These are placed in front of mall shops and towards bus stands. These are used by travelers coming there. Some of these seats were removed without any permission. As a result, elderly people, women, children and passengers with luggage have no place to sit and wait to cross their legs.
It has been alleged that some shopkeepers, if they have seats, remove these seats as passengers sit on them and customers pass by. Regarding this, the corporation officials said, ‘The shopkeepers may have removed it as it is a hindrance to the shop. They will be refitted immediately,’ they said.
