CHENNAI: DMK Member of Parliament A. has alleged that there was malpractice in the recent ‘5G’ spectrum auction. Raza accused.

A few months ago, the Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the auction of 5G spectrum in India.

The auction for ‘5G’ spectrum started on 26th.

Four companies – Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio, Vodafone-Idea and Adani Group – bid for the bid.

On the first day of the auction, companies are said to have bid up to an all-time high of Rs 1.45 lakh crore.

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav also said that the record of ‘4G’ auction held in 2015 has been broken.

But unexpectedly, the auction for ‘5G’ spectrum went up to Rs 1.50 lakh crore only.

DMK Member of Parliament A. Raza, who met the media, said that the government has lost Rs 1.76 lakh crore after the ‘2G’ spectrum auction.

“But there is malpractice in the ‘5G’ spectrum auction. The central government said that the ‘5G’ spectrum will be auctioned for Rs 5 lakh crore. But it has been auctioned for Rs.1.5 lakh crore. The central government should answer about where the rest of the money went,” said A. Tamil Nadu media reported that Raja said.
