A neo-Nazi cell was unveiled yesterday (Friday) in France after hundreds of police officers participated in the arrest of four members of the cell, after they allegedly sought to harm Jews. The four were arrested at their homes near the town of Mulhouse in the Alsace province, when huge amounts of weapons were found during the arrest.

According to the French authorities, more than 40 pistols and about 120,000 bullets were found among the weapons. The four were arrested as aforesaid after the suspicion arose that they were looking for Jews in Strasbourg, while a football game was being held in the city.

Of the weapons seized, only 18 were legally purchased. In addition, anti-Semitic and extremist propaganda material was seized. The suspects have so far been charged with arms trafficking counts and are expected to receive up to 10 years in prison.
