Due to the increase in gasoline prices throughout the year, ethanol has become a more advantageous alternative for fueling flex-fuel vehicles. Year-to-date, the price of ethanol registered a drop of 4.3%, in contrast to the 15.9% increase in the average price of regular gasoline. In the comparison between September 2023 and August 2023, gasoline increased by 2.1%, while ethanol increased by just 0.5%.
