As I know, the Champions League has reserved at least 5,000 tickets for the tourists who are supposed to come from Europe.

Is the Haifa municipality ready to receive the tourists that will arrive in September following the historic third qualification for the Champions League?
The mayor said in one of the interviews: “Europe is going to come to Haifa. The stadium and hotels are ready for anyone who comes.”

What is the municipality doing in order to receive the tourists who will come, since there are not enough rooms in the city?

According to the latest data, between 20,000-30,000 tourists pass through Haifa each year, while close to 250,000 tourists pass through Tel Aviv. I think that the Champions League games are an excellent opportunity to put Haifa on the international tourist map and the mayor expects you to prepare accordingly! In our situation, every tourist who comes to the city and invests money in the local businesses is a blessing to the city.
In a face-to-face conversation, Kartnik said what he thinks is the right thing to do in order to leave a taste for more in the tourists who will come and how we can ensure that they have a pleasant tourist experience in Haifa:
What is the right thing to do? To leave everything and just deal with it, this is the future of the city. Just yesterday we had to have a meeting with all the relevant parties, including the board of directors of Aftach, and build an orderly plan. Approve an urgent budget for the subject according to the plan that was built and this plan should include: events, compensation of businesses that will work with the tourists, develop tourist plans, develop tourist deals, sit down with the minister of transportation and operate the train on the same dates, there is no shortage of things to do. We have two hotels in the German colony that have already finished construction and are waiting for form 4 and the one who monitors it is the city engineer, these hotels can be used by the tourists who will come.
Everything that is happening here is one of the biggest events in the country and not many cities and countries have won it, so we need to mobilize today and try to pass it on in the best possible way so that those tourists will bring us more tourists and continue to support our businesses….
