Yash Chopra’s films are often discussed. People like them a lot. But recently Javed Akhtar criticized the dialogues of ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’. Now Dr. Vikas Divyakirti has also mentioned his movie ‘Darr’ and has given his opinion about Shahrukh Khan’s character in it. He has expressed his concern about that movie and has also mentioned Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Mard’. Vikas Divyakirti said in a conversation with We Are Yuva YouTube channel, ‘Mard movie came when we were young. What a dirty thing was there in that movie that Dara Singh is leaving and the child has just been born. Maybe Mard was written on his chest with a knife, maybe Mard was written with blood. And then what does that movie say that men do not feel pain. And our whole childhood was spent in this thought that we should not feel pain. What a big stupidity it was.’

Vikas Divyakirti spoke for Shahrukh Khan

Vikas Divyakirti further said, ‘In the 1990s, the film Darr was released which showed masculine love for the first time. These anime etc. came much later. It stars Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla, she refuses and he is singing a song that whether you say yes or no, you are my Kiran. Meaning, he is not bothered by her yes or no. Even if you say yes, even if you say no, you are mine. Is he a lover or a rapist? What kind of sense is this? This is crude masculinity.’

Vikas Divyakirti reacted to Amitabh Bachchan’s song

Vikas Divyakirti said, ‘Sometimes a thought comes in my mind as if you have been made for me. What is it friend… you are an object. You have been made for me. Before this you were living somewhere in the stars, you have been called on earth for me. Am I some lord sahab. That you have been called from the sky for me. You do not have a life of your own. You do not have a career of your own. You do not have any dreams of your own. It is not that women do not talk like this. Men too are objectified at times. But it will be more visible in the voice of men. It will be less visible in the voice of women.’
